GroupM Canada has made two new Canadian hires, relocating both from its global company offices.

Moving to Canada from GroupM Ireland, where he worked as head of trading, is Neil Johnston, who is joining GroupM’s Toronto office as chief trading officer. Johnston will be responsible for overseeing media investment operations for GroupM Canada’s agencies, which include Mindshare, MEC, MediaCom and Maxus.

GroupM Canada’s new Québec president, Axel Dumont, comes to the company from MEC Paris where he worked managing director and global client leader.

Dumont will lead GroupM Québec operations in the new Montréal-based role, including programmatic buying platform Xaxis and search and social agency Catalyst.
