GroupM agency MediaCom Canada has announced Matt Di Paola is joining the company as its chief strategy and innovation officer.
The newly created position is effective immediately and has Di Paola overseeing a broad range of agency units and services, including strategy and digital leadership, insight and research, business science, content development and analytics, according to a company release.
Di Paola most recently worked as SVP, managing director at Proximity Canada. He has also held positions at Leo Burnett and Tribal DDB Toronto and sits on the advisory boards for nextMEDIA, AOL Canada, the Mobile Marketing Association and the Google Advisory Council.
He will report directly to MediaCom Canada CEO Jamie Edwards.
