Months after appointing Michel Gagnon to the role, La Presse has named another VP of sales.
The Montreal-based news company has hired Patrick Jutras as its new sales lead, tasking him with overseeing all platforms; which includes La Presse+ as well as the newspaper.
Jutras comes to La Presse from Bell Media where he has worked as SVP of sales for the Quebec market since 2014.
With Jutras joining the team as VP of sales, Gagnon is taking on a role that will be focused on brand management and marketing strategy. The changes are effective Sept. 12.
La Presse has seen several sales leadership shifts since it decreased its print frequency and upped the focus on its free tablet app La Presse+ at the start of 2016. Former VP of sales Luc Tremblay left the company’s Montreal office in March and Simon Jennings departed La Presse Group Sales’ Toronto outpost in June for a position with Pelmorex.
