Rogers Hi-Speed takes top spot with big radio buy: Media Monitors, June 6 to 12

The internet provider nabs the #1 spot in Toronto, while the government returns to the top position in Montreal.

Rogers Hi-Speed Internet jumped on to the Media Monitors radio ad buy charts at #1 for the week in Toronto, with a purchase of 1,077 radio spots.

BlackCreek Music Festival, last week’s top purchaser with 848 buys, dropped from the charts altogether now that the festival is over.

The Government of Canada came in at #2, rising from its previous position at #4.

At #3, Petro Canada moved into the Toronto radio market, with a buy of 677 spots.

Another notable move was Koodo Mobile, which amped up its radio campaign to come in at #9, after a previous spot at #44.

In Montreal no drastic change was seen on the charts, with the Government of Canada and mattress retailer Dormez-vous swapping places in the lead. The government came in at #1 with a buy of 242 slots, sending Dormez-vous to #2.

Bell Mobility was the largest change on the Montreal charts, moving to #3 after a week at #31.
