TC Media president steps down

Natalie Lariviere will continue to work on projects during the summer, with Transcontinental president and CEO, Francois Olivier at the helm until further notice.

Natalie Larivière has resigned from her position as president of Transcontinental Media, effective June 29, with François Olivier, president and CEO of Transcontinental Inc. taking over as the interim head of TC Media.

Larivière has been the president of the company’s media sector since August 2006. She will continue to work periodically with the team on certain projects this summer. Reasons for her resignation include wanting to “pursue new professional challenges”, according to a statement from the company.

“Over the past six years, Natalie has piloted numerous projects that have enhanced the TC Media offering by creating magazines, integrating digital platforms, producing TV content and developing interactive marketing solutions for advertisers and consumers,” said Olivier in the release. “On behalf of the other members of senior management, I thank her for her support and wish her every success in her future endeavours.”

“It has been a privilege to work with experts and seasoned professionals who are creative, passionate about media and marketing, and eager to provide top-of-the-line communication products,” said Larivière in the release. “It is now time for me to turn to other career challenges.”

Larivière’s departure is the second of two major executive move announcements for TC Media in recent weeks, with Reneault Poliquin stepping down from his post as senior VP of marketing and 360degrees solutions at TC Media as of this Friday. No replacement has been named for Poliquin as of yet, according to a TC Media spokesperson.
