Maxus Canada adds to its team

After an extensive global search, the agency has hired a new MD, digital/emerging technology, as well as a client-facing group director.

Maxus Canada is ringing in the new year with two new hires. The media agency has signed on Emily Kilfolye as its managing director, digital/emerging technology and Tim Davies as its new group director, clients.

Kilfolye is tasked with guiding clients as well as agency teams on all things digital. She was director, digital advertising in her most recent position at the Star Media Group and has over a decade of experience in employing digital advertising products in mobile, search, social media loyalty programs and e-commerce.

Kilfoye’s position is not a new one but has been upgraded from its previous head of digital designation to include technology.

In addition to her work responsibilities, she will also be a part of the Maxus Management Team in Canada and will be a part of the Maxus NA digital leadership team.

This position has also been upgraded from its previous designation of associate media director. The focus of the new position, says Maxis president, Ann Stewart, is to drive more business discussions.

During his time at GroupM, Davies handled the Procter & Gamble account. Prior to his Australia experience he was based in the U.K., where he was charged with the GlaxoSmithKline account. Davies will be a member of the Maxus Leadership team.

While Kilfolye will report to Maxus president, Ann Stewart, Davies will report to Kerry Mitchell, who is the agency’s business/growth driver.

Both positions are effective immediately.
