Bell Media’s Astral announces Carte Blanche 2016
Astral Out of Home announced the launch of Carte Blanche Contest for Creatives earlier this week. The competition, which has a revamped website and a new voting system, is open to agencies in five Canadian markets: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Quebec. The competition, which aims to highlight the best OOH creative campaigns in the selected markets, is accepting submissions at Carteblancheforcreatives.
Chris Williams takes on communications gig
The former IAB Canada president has landed in a new role in government. Williams is the new senior communications advisor at Public Works and Government Service Canada.
Bell Media to broadcast iHeartRadio music awards
The media co will be airing the two-hour iHeartRadio Music Awards on Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m. on CTV. The broadcast follows the partnership between the two companies that was announced at the start of the year. Coverage will be supplemented by red-carpet coverage on Etalk.
CBC wins media rights for major ski, bobsleigh and skeleton events
CBC Sports has entered into a five-year agreement with Infront Sports and Media for media rights for live, delayed, repeat and VOD coverage of the International Ski Federation and International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation events across all its platforms. In addition to the winter sports events, the agreement also includes access to the Berlin Marathon through 2020.
