Havas Media put tech front and centre with a Toronto-based pop-up launched Nov. 15.
Pairing with Philips’ Hue line of connected light products and Amazon, Havas took to the Toronto Eaton Centre to put a spotlight on a range of smart home products.
According to Kelsey Moniz, marketing manager and project lead at Philips lighting, the pop-up includes a guided, voice-activated tour through a smart home kitchen, living room and bedroom that showcase common routines and scenes, with the goal of showing how smart home technology can fit into everyday life – especially as the holiday shopping season gets underway.
“The pop-up shop is geared towards the holiday shopping season, including Black Friday and boxing week,” Moniz explains. “This is a key time consumers are out shopping and looking for that perfect gift.”
She says the target includes homeowners and renters, with promotion taking place in the form of influencer marketing, social posts, display banners driving to a dedicated page on Amazon.
The pop-up runs until Dec. 31 and also features Amazon partners Samsung, Ecobee, iRobot, Sonos and Filtrate, which also showcased their device capability.
