Publicis’ Spark Foundry has brought Maryann Rusnak on board as SVP, group account director to lead a number of high-profile accounts in its Toronto office.
Rusnak will bring her leadership experience to her new duties overseeing numerous high-profile clients, including Campbell’s, Alcon and Marriott. Some additional to-be-announced wins will also be under her purview.
At the global level, Spark Foundry was also the winner of the big media review for Facebook parent company Meta.
Before joining the agency, Rusnak spent nearly six years at Expedia, most recently as global media head, serving on several advisory committees with media partners and managing the travel company’s in-house buying and planning team. Prior to that, she spent four years at Mediacom.
Rusnak will also join Spark Foundry’s recently changed Canadian leadership team, which includes Véronik L’Heureux, EVP and managing director; Paul Hewitt, VP and group account director; Doha Skaf, group account director; Alex Guimond, VP of connections planning; and Jamie Tomlinson, group account director, investment.
In other Spark Foundry news, the media agency recently formed a new partnership with Toronto-based tech incubator the DMZ to act as media partner and advisor to its startups.
