Torstar is partnering with the third season of The Manjit Minhas Podcast, which launched on Monday on the Toronto Star Podcast Network.
The move is part of a series of podcast expansions for the mass media company, including a partnership with Footy Prime, acquired in May 2022.
The show has thus far been a top 10 podcast in the business category. Anne Marie Owens, editor-in-chief of the Toronto Star says that the podcast “builds on our existing strength in the business podcast space, with Millennial Money and Responsible Investing.”
Season three will be produced by Mixxable, a podcast network owned by Influicity.
Influicity CEO Jon Davids says the last two seasons have seen Minhas develop new connections with the audience that will be further strengthened through the third season. “The Toronto Star will elevate her reach and impact in a whole new way,” adds the executive.
The Manjit Minhas Podcast will feature 12 original episodes available on all major podcast platforms including Thestar.com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.
Minhas is a renowned Canadian entrepreneur and stars in CBC’s acclaimed show Dragons’ Den, which she joined in season 11.
So far, the podcast has had 18000+ downloads, 2000+ followers and 1300+ monthly listeners. In terms of audience, half were male while 46% were female and 1% were non-binary. The largest audience at 28% were aged 28-34, while 25% were 35 -44, 23% were 23-27, 14% were 45+,8% were 18-22 and 1% were 0-17. In terms of geolocation, 6200+ of listeners were located in Canada, 400+ in the US and 350+ elsewhere.
