Neo names new sales lead for Quebec

Ismael Alaoui will take on the new VP role in addition to his duties with sister company Pompe Media.

Place-based out-of-home company Neo has picked Ismael Alaoui as VP of Quebec sales.

In his new role, Alaoui will lead sales operations across Neo’s OOH network, including recruiting talent, working directly with clients and ensuring targets are met. He will work closely with Jordana Fatsis, Neo’s EVP of sales, who will devote more of her attention to the Ontario market.

Neo operates roughly 3,750 screens in Canada across its three networks: mall-focused Neo Shopping, gas and convenience network Neo On The Go and gym-focused Neo Fitness.

Alaoui is also co-founder and CEO of Pompe Media, a role he will maintain to help develop both companies’ gas and convenience networks. In 2019, Pompe struck a strategic partnership with Neo, when it was still known as Neo-Traffic. Neo parent company Media Group also holds an ownership stake in Pompe.

Neo rebranded from Neo-Traffic in 2020 as it pushed its network into new venues outside of malls, where it was first established. In September, it further expanded its network with 46 faces at RioCan’s Yonge Sheppard Centre development. Last year Neo also bolstered its planning capabilities by integrating Environics Analytics data into its platform.
