Google Canada has hired Andrea MacDonald to help lead its relationships with Canadian agencies.
As head of agency and partners at Google Canada, MacDonald will manage the company’s work with large agencies and other key partners across Canada. Working out of Toronto, she will share those duties with JP Gauthier, who holds the same title and is based in Google’s Montreal office.
MacDonald will report to Matt Thornton, who joined the company in May as managing director of agency and partners in Canada.
Before joining Google, MacDonald was head of sales for Twitter in Canada, before being one of many senior staff involved in one of several waves of layoffs at the social platform earlier this year. Prior to joining Twitter in 2016, MacDonald held senior sales roles at Vista Radio and Rogers.
