Updated: OMD named best performing global media network, again

This is the seventh consecutive edition of RECMA's bi-annual Network Diagnostic report that the media agency has topped.

The Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry (RECMA) has named OMD Worldwide the best-performing global media network overall in its bi-annual Network Diagnostic report.

The latest win for the OMD Media Group agency marks the seventh consecutive edition in which OMD has earned top spot on the report.

RECMA’s report evaluates 684 agencies in 45 markets on vitality and structure, and is meant to go beyond typical quantitative metrics like new business wins or billings volume. Using KPIs, it also considers such criteria as client portfolio and relationship stability; digital, data and analytics, and content resources; and homogeneity across geographies. Participating agencies are ranked both numerically by “quali-points” and by the strength of its profile.

Digging into those KPIs, OMD got top marks for competitiveness in new business pitches, client profile, digital, data and analytics, and content expertise. Globally, OMD is ranked “Dominant” in 10 markets.

Collier notes that OMD Canada, which is Canada’s largest media agency, leads the market in competitiveness in pitches in 2023 with an A rating, and pitch participation. It also remains the agency with highest number of Big Advertisers (spending over 20m$), and has the highest Relationship Stability in its Top 10 clients with 8.9 yrs.
