
Sixteen of the 20 most-watched programs on specialty TV – for the first three months of the year – air on Corus channels, with the majority being reality shows, according to new data from Numeris.
The measurement company revealed its specialized entertainment ranking for the first three months of the year and topping the list is The Curse of Oak Island, which revolves around an island that contains one of the greatest treasures, but no hunter has been able to discover it. The show airs on the History Channel.
Comedy series Ted, which is about a teenager and his talking bear and airs on Showcase, landed in second place. Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship came in third. Discovery channel also made the list with Gold Rush – a reality show that follows teams mining the Yukon Territory’s gold deposits – which ranked fourth.
Other Corus specialty programs that rounded out the top 20 include The Way Home (W Network), Dr. Death (Showcase), The UnBelievable With Dan Aykroyd (The History Channel), Celebrity IOU (HGTV Canada), Vanderpump Rules (Slice), Rock the Block (HGTV), Below Deck (Slice), Below Deck: Mediterranean (Slice) and Backyard Builds (HGTV); game show Tournament of Champions (Food Network); and the documentary History’s Greatest Mysteries (History Channel).
