Scott Stewart, former general manager of Glassroom, has been appointed EVP, managing director of Canadian independent media agency, Epitaph Group. The addition of Stewart to the Epitaph leadership team is in response to the agency’s significant growth across Canada and the U.S. and an expanded portfolio of clients.
Mike Rumble, Epitaph founder and CSO says the search for a managing director was about finding someone who could advance the agency’s strategic vision and passion for client success. “After a global search, we found the perfect fit right here at home. I feel truly fortunate that Scott not only sees the incredible potential in Epitaph but also brings a unique ability to make a meaningful impact on our clients’ businesses.”
“There is definitely a big opportunity for Epitaph to own a lot more of the strategic white space that today’s marketers are looking for, especially where we can bring media and creative closer together and further leverage the partnerships that Epitaph has with some of the top creative agencies in Canada,” added Stewart.
Epitaph currently operates with a team of more than 50 full-time employees and works with clients in categories like CPG, entertainment, tourism and financial services – including Co-operators home and auto insurance, EQ Bank, Sirius XM, Kids Help Phone and Ottawa Tourism.
Prior to joining Epitaph in the newly created role, Stewart spent more than four years as general manager at Glassroom in Toronto. Before that, he held leadership roles at Wavemaker, Maxus and UM.
