ATN expands channel roster in Western Canada

The broadcaster is growing from 12 to 54 channels, with programming in several different South Asian languages.

Asian Television Network (ATN) is bringing a major boost to its South Asian content lineup in Western Canada, expanding from 12 to 54 channels on Rogers.

The expansion gives viewers access to a wider variety of programming – from Bollywood blockbusters to spiritual content, high-energy music to hard-hitting news – in multiple South Asian languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali.

ATN’s current channels already offered popular picks like ATN Star Plus, ATN Life, ATN Cricket Plus, and ATN Food Food. Now, the expanded slate covers more ground across genres and regions. Customers can pick and choose individual channels or opt for bundled multicultural packages, a strategic move designed to grow ATN’s subscription revenue by delivering more value per household.

ATN is Canada’s largest South Asian broadcaster and includes a flagship ATN-HD service, seven general-interest Hindi channels, three sports and seven news channels, as well as five dedicated to Bollywood films, and robust regional offerings in Punjabi, Tamil, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati and Marathi.
