OLG buys big in Toronto: Media Monitors

Meanwhile, auto dealer associations ruled both Toronto and Montreal for buying activity.

OLG made a big radio buy in Toronto last week, propelling it to the top of the Media Monitors Charts for Dec. 10 to 16.

With a total play count of more than 1,500, OLG had nearly twice the amount of the second-biggest buyer, the Acura Dealer Association. Both OLG and Acura hadn’t made a radio buy in the previous week.

Rogers fell one spot to #3, while Staples rose two spots to #4. Rounding out the top-five was Rogers Internet, down two spots from #3.

Also new to the chart was Mitsubishi, coming in at #8.

For categories, buys from Acura, Mitsubishi and others propelled the car and truck dealer associations category to #1, tripling its buy from the previous week (2,788 total spots, up from 917).

In Montreal, CTV stayed at the top with 323 spots. It was followed by RedTag.ca, also staying put at #2.

The top-five in the city was rounded out by the Volvo Dealer Association (up from #4), Hudson’s Bay (down from #3) and new entrant Mitsubishi.

Meanwhile, car and truck dealer associations also ruled Montreal, with 803 total spots purchased across the category.
