IPG Mediabrands shop UM has made a major promotion amidst major agency growth.
Will Mulqueeney has been promoted to VP, client business partner at the agency. He’s been at the shop for two years, starting out as a director for connection planning on J3, the dedicated team for UM’s Johnson & Johnson business. He has led the CPG giant’s skincare, baby and vision business previously and will now lead the whole portfolio moving forward.
Shelley Smit, president of UM Canada, says upping Mulqueeney’s responsibilities on the account and moving him to the agency’s leadership team are the result of “earned trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike.”
UM has had a relationship with Johnson & Johnson for more than 30 years. UM has added a number of Canadian and global accounts to its roster as of late, with 2019 wins alone including Re/Max, Waterloo Brewing and Energizer.
Mulqueeney has been in the media industry for 13 years, and his experience includes CPG, tourism, food and beverage accounts at agencies such as MediaCom, Starcom and MEC.
