Bell has extended its sponsorship with Osheaga parent company Evenko, while also adding two of its other Montreal music festivals to its sponsorship.
The new three-year agreement continues Bell’s sponsorship of Osheaga, while also adding title sponsorship duties for Evenko’s electronic music festival Îlesoniq and the first edition of country music festival Lasso.
Bell has been the title sponsor of Osheaga since 2018, when it took over the duties from Virgin Mobile.
At all three festivals, Bell will be activating on-site with contests to win VIP experiences and providing access to content on Bell’s platform. The company will also be providing network technology infrastructure used at the festival sites and promoting the festivals on its platforms.
Osheaga has been cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic, but in 2019, the festival sold over 130,000 tickets, according to Evenko. Îlesoniq drew 78,000 attendees to its last full-scale event in 2019.
Bell sponsors numerous other arts and culture related events, festivals and organizations, including Canadian Music Week, Hot Docs, JFL, Prism Prize and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.
