McDonald’s was the most active advertiser from Feb. 26 to March 3, according to the latest AdEase radio report.

The QSR, which finished first the previous week, recorded 6,159 combined occurrences, while it made a total of 7,607 occurrences from Feb. 19 to 25. It entered the top 10 in all markets, finishing first in Vancouver and Edmonton.

Rogers Communications came in second with 5,532 combined occurrences, and ranked first in Calgary, second in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto, and fifth in Ottawa. Spence Diamonds followed with 4,352 occurrences, 3,123 more than the week prior. The jeweler placed second in Calgary, third in Vancouver and Edmonton, fourth in Ottawa, and eighth in Toronto.

Other advertisers buying more ad space during the week included Spence Diamonds, which saw an increase of 3,123 occurrences compared to the previous week; Reliance Home Comfort, which reported an extra of 2,243 occurrences; and Nexgard, with 92 more occurrences.

Among the new entries on this week’s list were care services company Home Instead Senior Care (552 occurrences), Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation (506 occurrences) and Belairdirect Insurance (902 occurrences).
