Big Brother Canada premiere draws 1.4 million viewers

The 15 homegrown house guests reached 3.3 million Canadians with a special presentation on both Slice and Global Television.

The debut episode of Big Brother Canada and its 15 Canadian houseguests on both Slice and Global Television on Wednesday night pulled in a total average audience of 1.4 million viewers, Shaw Media reported Thursday.

The Slice audience alone secured a record breaking AMA of 340,000 viewers (2+), bringing the channel its highest audience ever, according to BBM Canada data.

Big Brother Canada continued Thursday night at 10pm on Slice only, where it will now air three nights a week.

The premiere episode reached 3.3 million viewers on Slice and Global, and 735,000 viewers in the 18-to-49 demo.
