Bell Media has named a new sales lead, announcing Mary Ann Turcke will be its new group president of media sales, local TV and radio, taking over from Luc Sabbatini who will be leaving the company before the end of the year.
Turcke is no stranger to Bell, having worked as EVP of field operations for Bell Canada, leading a team of about 12,000 technicians, internal service representatives and managers to deliver telecommunications services to the company’s residential and business customers. She has also worked as Bell’s VP of customer experience and operations – small and medium business.
In her new role at Bell Media, Turcke will oversee media sales for all of the company’s conventional and English-language specialty TV services, radio, OOH and digital properties. In addition, she will look after sales, marketing and brand partnerships at the national and local levels.
Turcke will be splitting her time between Bell Media’s 50 Eglinton Ave. office in Toronto and its 1800 McGill College Ave. office in Montreal, and starts in the position immediately.
Good Luck. Coming from Field Operations into the Media Sales Business. Is there anyone left at Bell Media who know what they’re doing. This should be funny.
You mean Hell Media. The answer is not many, apparently. The guy she replaced didn’t last two years. Its a big industry joke now. “Bell” people running advertising sales. All the momentum is with Rogers….and has been for some time.
Momentum with Rogers – really? You must not be in the know. Tomik left the place in shambles. People who work there are miserable.
Ditto…and I mean ditto….for Hell Media. I was referring more to Sportsnet vs. TSN; NHL and all the good things Keith Pelly and Scott Moore are doing.
Good Luc to her.
