Features: Music can be streamed through a web player or free apps for mobile and desktop. Rdio users can create their own playlists, select a streaming station based on genre, mood or activity or pick recommendations based on what has been previously listened to and what’s trending on the service. Rdio features social elements that allow users to follow what friends are listening to on the service, or share what they are listening to on other social networks. Premium users can download music for offline listening.

Ad units available: Rdio uses in-stream audio mid-roll ads that are synced with a full-page display ad takeover. Bay also says that the company will be rolling out new ad options “to help advertisers leverage social engagement” before the end of the year.
