The Canadian Out-of-Home Measurement Bureau (COMB) has released the names of its latest board appointees, while also declaring a commitment to embracing data in a digital age.
This week COMB also released its “Data Report,” which assists in campaign strategizing and planning. The software tool gives planners market-based inventory, as well as circulation numbers for digital and static OOH formats. A second report now gives members access to changes in inventory between reports.
The three new board members are Brooke Leland, VP, Connection Planning at Jungle Media (pictured left), Kristine Lyrette, president of Zenith Optimedia and Troy Sedgwick, president and CEO of REC Media.
The three new members join 14 other board members from both the agency and publisher side of the business, as well as the industry body’s president, Rosanne Caron.
“On the seller side, the goal was to have more representation from the indoor operators and with the addition of Troy we will have representation from the West, which we didn’t have previously on the Board,” Caron told MiC.
The appointments, which are one-year long, are effective immediately.
In September last year Clear Channel joined COMB as member; along with Rouge Media, its circulation data is also available through COMB now.
Other data developments include the addition of GPS data to COMB’s Navigator Reach tool, which is able to detect how many times respondents are exposed to panels. Other COMB info tools include Markets, which have been adjusted to include Transport Canada’s new vehicle occupancy factors.
