Initiative continues to build its team following its recent merger with M2 in Canada.
The most recent announced hire is Angie Matchett, who is joining the agency as director of communication strategies with a focus on leading the business for RBC.
Matchett comes to the agency from Starcom MediaVest where she worked as a group account director. She takes over from Daryl Heroux, who previously led the RBC business at the agency. He moved to Carat as an account director last July.
Today’s announcement follows news last week that Helen Galanis has moved from Rogers Media to become president at Initiative. The agency announced it was merging with fellow IPG Mediabrands agency M2 at the end of 2015, with the new structure officially coming into place at the start of 2016.
An earlier version of this article said Matchett previously worked at ZenithOptimedia, but it was actually Starcom MediaVest. We regret the error.
