Tim Hortons joins Jay and Dan as title sponsor
SC With Jay and Dan, set to premiere on TSN this September, will be officially known as SC With Jay and Dan Presented by Tim Hortons. On top of the title sponsorship, Tim’s will provide on-set integrations, including mug placement, customized daily in-show features and inclusion in digital and social media executions. The return of the beloved goofball sportscasters to Bell Media was announced in March during the Trade Deadline Day coverage.
Rogers Media kicks off patriotic programming
Rogers Media has launched The Canada Project, a new cross-platform collection of Canadian-centric content across a number of its brands. The project comes from a survey commissioned by Rogers Media and executed by Abacus Data, which asked more than 1,500 Canadians questions on hot-button political issues, values, lifestyle and leisure. Results from the survey will be showcased on a dedicated hub on Maclean’s, with relevant stories and complementary anniversary content featured throughout June and July on Rogers properties, including CityNews, Breakfast Television, OMNI Television, Flare, Hello! Canada, Chatelaine, Today’s Parent, Sportsnet.ca and others.
Seagram Cider straps on its boots (and hearts)
Kitchener-based brewer Brick Brewing Co. has announced that its Seagram Cider will become the category sponsor of the Boots and Hearts Country Music Festival for the next three years. This year’s edition of the Oro-Medonte, Ont.-based music festival will take place from August 10 to 13, featuring headliners Luke Brian, Keith Urban and others. According to Boots and Hearts, last year’s festival played host to more than 40,000 people, with attendees from every Canadian province and 23 states. Attendees were approximately 60% female and 40% male, with 62% of guests between the ages of 18 and 34.
Bravo sets premiere date for Daytime Divas
Bravo will premiere the scripted drama Daytime Divas on June 5 at 10 p.m. The 10-episode, one-hour drama stars Vanessa Williams, Camille Guaty, Chloe Bridges, Fiona Gubelmann and Tichina Arnold as the hosts of a long-running daytime TV talk show The Lunch Hour, and follows the drama that befalls them. Following the season finale, the entire season will launch on Bell Media’s CraveTV. The series executive produced by Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva), Suzanne de Passe (The Temptations), Madison Jones, Susan Levison and daytime talk show veteran Star Jones (The View), with writers Amy and Wendy Engelberg and showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler (Awkward, 90210).
