Touché adds new group director and assistant strategists
Kristine Sherliker has joined Omnicom agency Touché as a group account director. Sherliker, whose career in marketing and communications includes positions at Unilever, Johnson and Johnson, MediaCom and Coca Cola, will work out of Touché’s Toronto office. The company has also hired a number of recent graduates and young talent as assistant media strategists and assistant 360 specialists including João Lisboa and Katrina Li (Toronto), as well as Stephanie Llewellyn, Samuel Chagnon, Camille Lavoie, Jean-Francois Chevigny and Marie Andrée Leblanc (Montreal).
Wavemaker adds to planning team
GroupM agency Wavemaker may have welcomed a new CEO last week, but it’s also hired a number of junior and associate-level reps. Allen Ortilla recently joined as a digital planner and buyer. Ortilla spent just over a year at Starcom, where he worked as a digital assistant. Audrey Ansah has also taken a position as an account manager for paid social with the agency. This is Ansah’s first foray into agency life after working as a digital marketing freelancer with brands such as Transit Now, Andres Sierra, Furnishr, Javelin Sports and Beauty Makers.
Wavemaker also added a number of new account managers, planners and analysts in July.
Rouge Media adds to multiple departments
Place-based advertising company Rouge Media has hired Danielle Deeming as a networking relationship and development representative. Based out of Vancouver, Deeming’s focus will be to develop relationships between Rouge and its venue partners in its resto-bar and beauty networks, drive new business and implement OOH strategies. Earlier this summer, the company also hired Priya Ariyanayagam as a talent acquisition manager and Ana-Maria Holtby as a media coordinator.
