CTV, City partner on music special

Besides a simulcast on CTV2 and Citytv, the one-hour performance, bublé!, will also be streamed on Crave.

Bell Media and Rogers Media have struck a broadcast partnership around one of Canada’s most well-known singing superstars.

This Wednesday at 10 p.m., both Bell Media’s CTV2 and Rogers Media’s Citytv will simultaneously air the music special, bublé!, featuring Canadian-born turned global icon Michael Bublé. In addition to the two conventional networks, it will also stream live on Bell Media’s SVOD, Crave.

In the U.S., the special will be aired on NBC. Following the Canadian broadcast, the special will be available on CTV and Citytv’s various apps and digital platforms.

The performance will feature Bublé, accompanied by a 36-piece orchestra, performing standards such as “Fly Me to the Moon” and “You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You” as well as several of his popular originals and six new songs from his recent release, Love.

Bublé released the album late last year after several years away from the spotlight as his young son fought cancer. The singer has sold more than 60 million records worldwide. Bublé also just won a Juno Award in the Adult Contemporary Album of the Year for Love.
