Optable names chief revenue officer

Montreal-based data platform Optable has hired James Prudhomme as its CRO.

Yves Poiré, co-founder & CEO of Optable, says Prudhomme’s track record of growth will be vital as the company continues to build its ad-focused data tools and cleanroom tech, following the launch of its Data Collaboration Platform in May.

Reporting to Poiré, Prudhomme will continue to be based in London. He was most recently EVP of international business at Index Exchange, but also has extensive experience in the Canadian market, having been CEO of audience data company Datacratic and a member of sales teams at AOL Canada and Bell.

Hisham Ghostine takes on more duties with CBC

Hisham Ghostine has been promoted to executive director, digital monetization, sales, marketing and Olympics for CBC/Radio-Canada.

Ghostine joined CBC in May as executive director of sales, marketing and Olympics, and was responsible for broadcast sales, digital sales and content marketing, as well as partnerships around Canada’s Olympic teams, for Toronto and Western Canada. The addition of digital monetization to his remit adds overall responsibility for revenue generation and management across sales tiers and platforms.

Donald Lizotte, general manager and chief revenue officer for CBC and Radio-Canada Media Solutions, says the pubcaster’s media sales team is undergoing a digital transformation to lead the monetization strategy of its digital platforms. Those are efforts Ghostine will lead with the benefit of his experience in technology and adtech.

Before coming to CBC, Ghotine had a brief stop at Torstar, and was previously CEO of media and chief commercial officer for Dentsu Canada.

AcuityAds hires new permanent CFO

Adtech provider AcquityAds has hired Elliot Muchnik as its new chief financial officer.

In his new role, Muchnik is tasked with overseeing AcuityAds’ continued growth and profitability as it pursues further growth behind Illumin, its conversion-focused programmatic platform that launched just over one year ago.

Muchnik takes over the CFO role from Tatiana Kresling, who has been holding the role on an interim basis since the retirement of Jonathan Pollack in September. He was most recently CFO and corporate secretary at wealth management firm Richardson Wealth Limited, and prior to that was SVP and managing director at BMO Nesbitt Burns.
