True Media Canada has promoted Michelle Menard to vice president, media director with responsibilities for all Calgary operations. Menard will report directly to the company’s president Bruce Neve in Toronto.

The agency has also made some other recent hires. In September, Sathya Santovito joined the team as client strategist and Gordon Kwan as senior client strategist. These new roles brought the company’s headcount to more than 30.

The company also won 12 new clients across its Calgary and Toronto offices in 2022 and is now moving to new headquarters to accommodate its growth.

New clients include the Canadian Pacific Railway, both in Canada and the United States, as well as Pathways Alliance,  MPG Activewear, Onlia Insurance, NEO Financial, Gay Lea Foods, the Wilder Institue and Arthritis Canada.

“It’s important to us that we continue to offer the best leadership, as well as deeply experienced media strategy and executional teams where our clients need us to be,” says Neve.

True Media Canada’s new headquarters are located in Calgary’s famed Building Bloc, which dates back to 1914. True Media Canada is part of True Independent Holdings.

“We opened in Canada in 2007 right ahead of one of the toughest economic periods in North American history, and we never looked back,” said Jack Miller, CEO, True Independent Holdings. “Across our Calgary and Toronto offices, we’ve attracted some of the sharpest talent and industry defining clients who share our drive for great work and smart, strategic growth.”
