The Media Innovation Awards have announced the co-chairs who will helm the awards program for 2023.
This year’s jury will be led by Urania Agas, CEO of EssenceMediacom Canada (pictured, left), and Emma Eriksson, VP of marketing and wellbeing at Kellogg Canada (pictured, below). The full jury of industry experts who will evaluate and deliberate over the entries to determine the winners will be announced in the coming months.
There are also three new categories for the MIAs this year.
The Planning with Purpose category will recognize media programs that embodied a brand’s ESG principles, while also driving business goals. The Best in Regulated Products category will award work that navigated the precise rules, regulations and challenges that come with developing media plans for categories like alcoholic beverages, cannabis, pharma and health. The Best Use of Influencers category will recognize how the use of an influencer captured the attention of the target audience for a brand and drove significant outcomes.
The earlybird deadline for entries is on June 26, with the regular deadline following on July 24. Winners will be announced at an awards gala in November. More information can be found on the Media Innovation Awards website.
