Mastercard opens a high-end lounge in the Scotiabank Arena

The financial brand activates its longstanding partnership with MLSE by bringing premium experiences to Maple Leafs and Raptors games.

Mastercard is giving cardholders exclusive experiences and benefits with the launch of a new premium space in Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

Created in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), the new Mastercard Lounge comes just ahead of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors seasons. Mastercard has been an MLSE partner since 2008, bringing experiences to fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, Toronto Argonauts, Toronto Marlies, Raptors 905, TFC II and Raptors Uprising.

The lounge is a shared members-only space that overlooks the arena bowl from the 200 Level to deliver a premium viewing and dining experience for games, as well as other entertainment events. It features a high-end menu that highlights premium Canadian ingredients paired with curated cocktails. Merchandise purchases made during the game can also be delivered directly to the lounge.

Membership is only available through contacting an MLSE rep, though members will get a discount on the first year of membership fees when paying with their Mastercard. Cardholders also have the chance to win access the Mastercard Lounge at a Toronto Maple Leafs or Toronto Raptors game through a sweepstakes that runs from Oct. 10 to Nov. 19 on Mastercard’s website.

“Mastercard is focused on connecting people to their passions – and each other. That’s what ‘Priceless’ is all about,” says Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer at Mastercard. “The new Mastercard Lounge offers a stunning backdrop to world-class sports and
entertainment, defying expectations and enriching an already exciting experience.”

Outside of the lounge, Mastercard holders get other benefits at the Scotiabank Arena or other MLSE venues, such as exclusive ticket access and discounts on in-arena concession and apparel purchases.
