The Canadian industry is losing one of its media agency leaders to the land down under.
After 15 years, Kevin Kivi, EVP and general manager of Horizon Media Toronto, has made the decision to move with his family back to their native Australia at the end of this month.
After moving to Canada, Kivi held VP roles at Mindshare and Carat, the two agencies he worked with in Melbourne, and was SVP at MediaCom. He joined Horizon Media in 2017 to open the agency’s first office outside the U.S. in Toronto. Since then, Kivi has expanded the agency’s presence in Canada, including the opening of an office in Edmonton.
In addition to sitting on the board of Vividata, Kivi has been an active member at Sheridan College’s Pilon School of Business, providing guidance and guest lectures to their media, digital and advertising programs.
There’s no information yet as to who will be filling Kivi’s position at Horizon Media.
