MiQ promotes Jason Furlano to chief revenue officer

He will be responsible for implementing new processes and business models that benefit the company's clients in Canada.

Programmatic media company MiQ has promoted Jason Furlano to the newly created position of chief revenue officer.

In this role, Furlano will determine the commercial direction of the Canadian business and develop new processes and business models that will benefit MiQ’s clients, according to the company. He will also be in charge of creating innovative innovation divisions in the U.K. market and will participate in the company’s global commercial board.

“We are thrilled that he will channel his truly world class skills and vision to help us drive innovation here in Canada and beyond. During this time of true transformation, his adaptability and ability to build trusted relationships will be invaluable to both our company and to our clients,” said MiQ Digital CEO Alfie Atkinson in a statement.

Furlano joined MiQ in 2017 as VP of sales. According to the company, “he has been a driving force in the growth of MiQ Canada,” developing new relationships and expanding existing ones. He has also spearheaded new product launches, including MiQ’s innovation division named Cohesion, which creates customized solutions for partners.

Previously, Furlano managed the programmatic sales teams at Oath. He started working there in 2013 and left in 2017, two years before Verizon dropped Oath as the name of the AOL-Yahoo internet group and renamed it Verizon Media Group.

MiQ has made several internal moves recently. In January, the company promoted its trading director Kristina Kacanski to VP of trading. During her five years with MiQ, Kacanski held senior positions such as associate trading director and group trader manager.
