As part of its goal to “make every pin shoppable,” Pinterest is rolling out its third-party ad demand in Canada, partnering with Amazon for the product once again.
The multi-year partnership with Amazon was first announced in April 2023 for the U.S. but is now available to marketers in Canada, as well as Mexico, as part of the international expansion of the unit. Other markets will be considered over time.
The shoppable product will direct Pinterest users to Amazon’s website to complete their purchase when they click an ad. It allows brands to reach a highly engaged audience with strong commercial intent, according to the company.
Amazon is Pinterest’s first third-party ad demand partner, and the inspiration platform is anticipating that it will bring more brands and relevant products to the platform.
