Tim Hortons holds its position as the top advertiser on TV, according to AdEase’s latest findings for the week of April 21 to 27.

The advertiser dominated the rankings with 7,332 occurrences across Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, where it secured the top spot while coming in second in Montreal. The brand’s ad for its spring and summer cold beverage menu, centered around its new Frozen Quenchers line (pictured), was once again Tims’s most prominent TV ad. However, the brand saw an increase in ad activity compared to the previous week overall.

Crave TV maintained its second-place position with 5,388 occurrences, representing an increase from the previous week. Meanwhile, Subaru secured third place with 3,307 occurrences, up from 3,208 in the prior week. Canadian Tire and the Conservative Party of Canada followed closely, both boosting their ad spend.

QSRs dominate the advertising landscape across all four markets, with TV and streaming services and furniture stores also consistently ranking among the top categories. Import SUVs corporate ads were particularly prominent in Vancouver, whereas general home improvement stores stood out in Montreal.
