The Canadian Media Directors’ Council (CMDC) not only has a new president, it has also added two new members to its board.
Michele Pauchuk, president at MEC, is heading the council while Joseph Leon, president of V7 International and Leeanne Comish, president at M2 have joined the non-profit’s board.
Other board members include Cathy Collier, CEO of OMD, who is vice-chair and Penny Stevens, president of Media Experts, who was chair until recently.
In a statement introducing Leon and Comish, Pauchuk stated that “both bring a strong client sensibility from time spent on the marketing side of the business.”
The council will continue to focus on issues of accountability for clients under Pauchuk’s tenure, as well as ensuring that the media-agency perspective is heard.
On April 26, 2016, the CMDC will host the 20/20 Vision Conference. This is the first year that CMDC will publish its annual publication, the CMDC Media Digest digitally. That publication explores changes and developments in the advertising landscape across Canada.
Pauchuk was chair of the board of directors and closely involved with the launch of Vividata, the measurement body for the newspaper and magazine industry.
