Vision7 Media names new president

Former Aegis Media president of global clients David Jowett joins the agency and succeeds Pierre Delagrave, who is moving into a new role.

Vision7 Media, which includes Cossette Media and Jungle Media, has named a new president, announcing David Jowett is taking over the role that has been held by Pierre Delagrave, one of the founding members of Cossette Media.

Delagrave becomes the head of the Vision7 Innovation Group and chairman of Vision7 Media International, supporting Jowett in his new role as president.

“Our selection of David as a successor to Pierre follows an extensive international search,” said Brett Marchand, vice-chairman of Vision7 International in a release. “We were careful to take our time throughout this process to find just the right person who can build on Pierre’s legacy as we adapt to the complexities of the modern media world.”

Jowett, who will be based in Toronto most recently worked as president of global clients at Aegis Media in London, working with clients including Nokia, Phillips and Adidas. Prior to working at Aegis, Jowett worked for 10 years at MediaCom UK, leaving in the position of managing director.

“We all know that the communications landscape has changed forever,” said Jowett in a release. “Consumers live in a convergent, mobile and inter-connected world producing quantities of data never imagined. Vision 7 has a fantastic set of clients all across Canada, who want us to help them simplify this complex landscape, innovate through it, and fully leverage it to drive commercial value to their brands. I hope I can utilize my experience with challenging brands globally, and in the UK, to capitalize on the opportunity for our clients.”
