Big Brother returns to the public eye

The reality show snatches the top three spots for the week of Aug. 15 to 21, according to BBM Canada.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for August 15 to 21, 2011:

Monday: Monday night viewership went to CTV Evening News at 6 p.m., attracting an average of 1.393 million viewers for the week. The CTV National News at 11 p.m. was not far behind, with 1.121 million viewers.

Tuesday: Once again, CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. took the prime spot on the list with 1.393 million viewers and Combat Hospital on Global at 11 p.m. came in second place with 1.375 million viewers.

Wednesday: Big Brother 13 on Global at 8 p.m. came in at #1 for Wednesday night with 1.492 million viewers. CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. pulled 1.393 million viewers, sitting slightly below at #2.

Thursday: Reality show Big Brother 13 on Global at 9 p.m. won top spot for the night and the week, with 1.635 million viewers. Still neck-and-neck is CTV Evening News at 6 p.m., which attracted 1.393 million viewers for the night.

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm garnered 1.393 million viewers, putting it in the #1 spot for the night. Flashpoint on CTV at 8 p.m. followed behind with 1.313 million viewers.

Saturday: CTV National News at 11 p.m. was placed at the top of Saturday night programming with 1.121 million viewers. News came in #2 as well, with CTV Evening News Weekend at 6 p.m. attracting 1.019 million viewers .

Sunday: Big Brother 13 on Global at 8 p.m. took its third and last win for the week with 1.620 million viewers. The #2 spot went to the Big Bang Theory on CTV at 7 p.m. with 1.163 million viewers.
