Publicis Media Canada has named Véronik L’Heureux as EVP and managing director of Spark Foundry Canada, an appointment the agency says sets the stage for “a dynamic new era of growth.”
In her new role, L’Heureux has been tasked with growing Spark Foundry’s culture, industry profile, partnerships and client businesses across Canada. L’Heureux herself adds that the “start-up” mindset that Spark Foundry represents within the larger Publicis Media organization has developed a strong foundation since launching in 2017, and now has “big ambitions” for further growth.
L’Heureux joined Publicis in 2017 as managing director for Spark Foundry in Montreal, before being promoted to managing director of Publicis Media Montreal after having Starcom added to her remit. During her time leading the Quebec operations, the agency says it has grown to five times its size. She has also been president of the CDMQ since 2019.
“Véronik has come to define the agile, creative, entrepreneurial spirit of Spark Foundry and her leadership abilities have set the gold standard for our work with partners and clients at Publicis Media,” says Alastair Taylor, CEO of Publicis Media.
She takes over the national leadership duties from Bettina Heimrath, who has left the agency. Heimrath first joined Spark Foundry in 2015, took on the managing director duties for Montreal in 2017 (shortly after the agency’s rebrand) and took on national leadership duties in February of last year.
