Omnicom Media Group has made a pair of major leadership appointments, promoting Samantha Kelley to president of Touché! Canada and naming Charles Etienne Morier as president of OMG’s Montreal branch.
Reporting to Karine Courtemanche, CEO of Touché! Canada, PHD Canada and OMG Montreal, Kelley will work to promote Touché! at the local, national and international level in creativity and innovation while continuing to lead the Toronto office.
Kelley joined Touché! in 2007 as media strategist and steadily moved to supervisor and director positions. Kelly began her work on the Loblaws Canada account and has made retail her speciality, spending the next fifteen years on accounts such as Sport Chek, Mark’s, Canadian Tire, and Canada Post. She was named managing director in Toronto in 2021.
Also reporting to Courtemanche, Morier will be responsible for defining and managing OMG’s organizational vision and operational strategy, while promoting internal best practices for his teams and ensuring the deployment of OMG tools and new services.
Morier also joined Touché! in 2007 where he contributed to creating the agency’s digital offering and set up the SEM team. He held various digital media strategist, supervisor, and director roles until 2018, when he was appointed SVP of operations for OMG Montreal.
Both of these roles are ones that were jointly held by Courtemanche until she was named to her CEO position in 2020. Alain Desormiers, who had been leading Omnicom’s media agencies in Quebec as COO, left the agency in December.
“We have a long tradition of growing our talent internally,” Courtemanche says. “It is therefore with pride that we welcome this new generation of presidents. Samantha and Charles Etienne represent the future of the media discipline. They lead our teams with passion, innovation, and a deep sense of ethics.”
