WPP tops WARC Media 100 list

Three Canadian agencies ranked in the top 25 on the Media List.

For the eighth consecutive year, WPP GroupM topped WARC’s Media 100 List, recognizing its consistent excellence in the global media landscape and ability to deliver impactful and award-winning media solutions for clients worldwide. WPP’s Mindshare is the number one agency network and EssenceMediacom coming in with a strong second-place ranking. Wavemaker and VML also earned spots within the top 10 media networks.

Closer to home, three Canadian media agencies made the top 25. IPG Mediabrands’ Initiative was ranked 14th, PHD Toronto came in at 19 and PHD’s Touche! snuck in at 25.

Nearly half of the campaigns named in the 2025 Media 100 were from WPP clients, including Twiggy Full Circle for eBay, Michael CeraVe for L’OrĂ©al and CROWN x LinkedIn: #BlackHairIsProfessional for Unilever a few of the winning campaigns in the top 10.

Brian Lesser, Global CEO of GroupM, says, “I’m immensely proud to celebrate eight straight years at the top of WARC’s Media 100 with everyone at WPP and GroupM. We love the work we get to do for our clients, and we’ll continue building creative, competitive and future-forward solutions that help them connect with audiences around the world. Congrats to our teams, clients, and partners on a well-earned win.”

The WARC Media 100 ranks the world’s most awarded media companies and campaigns and is recognized as an industry benchmark for global media excellence.

This is more good news for WPP’s GroupM, which recently bucked the downward trend of WPP’s earnings, with 2.7% like-for-like revenue growth, excluding pass-through costs.
