Bell Media-owned channel Much is getting ready to deck the halls this December with a bigger version of Much Presents: The Big Jingle.
Now in its second year, the holiday-themed event, targeted at youth and adults aged 12 to 34, will feature performances by Canadian acts Serena Ryder and Down With Webster, as well as Fall Out Boy and Icona Pop (past performers were Carly Rae Jepsen, Cody Simpson and Simple Plan).
Cat Halliday, manager, brand partnerships, Bell Media, tells MiC that Much will also be looking to add to this lineup before the live concert at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Dec. 7.
Much has once again teamed with Virgin Mobile Canada, but this year the two brands will work together to support Virgin’s Re*Generation and Eva’s Initiatives, charities aimed at helping homeless youth. One dollar from each ticket sold will go to help the charities, and Much and Virgin will also match donations made.
Meanwhile, Astro Kik will be on-site offering sampling of its newest flavours, H&M will have on-site gift giving teams as well as teams in cities across Canada, which consumers can follow through the hashtag #hmgiftgiving, and electronics retailer The Source will host a contest offering one viewer two backstage VIP passes and a meet-and-greet with one of the performers.
Halliday says Much is currently working on rolling out additional on-site opportunities, as well as ad and sponsorship opportunities around the Dec. 14 TV broadcast of the event. She adds that Much is also looking to add two large sponsors to its roster, noting that beauty, beverage or QSR brands would all be good fits for The Big Jingle.
