Quantico and Blindspot picked-up
Two of CTV’s new fall dramas have gotten the green light for a full season from their U.S. producers, with Blindspot and Quantico both getting a full episode order.
The two shows are also sitting at #1 and #2 of the new show list so far this season, according to the latest Numeris data for Sept. 28 to Oct. 4. Quantico, which airs Sunday at 10 p.m. had an average audience of 2.5 million viewers and Blindspot, which is on Monday at 9 p.m. had an average audience of two million viewers for the week.
No full cancellations to report for the season yet, but Minority Report, which airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Global has had its episode run cut from 13 to 10 by its U.S. producer Fox.
Community Day at Cineplex
Next Saturday, Oct. 24, Cineplex is hosting its fifth-annual Community Day, a morning of free family-friendly movies with all proceeds from donations and concession sales going to the company’s national charity partner Free the Children.
Last year 125,000 Canadians attended the event and raised over $530,000.
This year’s movie line-up includes Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Pitch Perfect, Hop and Dumb and Dumber To.
Trojan1 rebrands to T1
Toronto-based agency Trojan1 has rebranded to become T1, timing the new moniker alongside the shop’s expansion, with its focus shifting from experiential to becoming a full-service agency.
T1′s current client base includes brands such as Air Miles, Dairy Farmers of Canada, OLG, ParticipAction, Nike, Coca-Cola and Nissan.
Cossette adds a VP
Cossette has named Lynn Chow as VP and client lead, a new role based at Aeroplan. Chow will take over responsibility for the Aeroplan business, as well as “several other national accounts” according to Cossette.
The new position marks a return to Canada for Chow, who worked at Draftfcb in Toronto, before moving to Singapore to become SVP and global account director with Grey Group.
