Networks are beginning to place the initial pieces of the upcoming season of TV into place, with CBS out of the gate as the first U.S. network to release its show renewal notices.
Coming back for another season at the network are Blue Bloods (CTV), Elementary (Global), Hawaii Five-O (Global), Madam Secretary (Global), Mom (City), NCIS: Los Angeles (Global), NCIS: New Orleans (Global), Scorpion (City), 2 Broke Girls (City), Survivor (Global) and The Amazing Race (CTV).
CBS previously announced renewals for new seasons of the wildly popular comedy The Big Bang Theory (CTV) and NCIS (Global).
The network hasn’t yet announced season renewals for CSI: Cyber or Criminal Minds. The Patricia Arquette-starring CSI: Cyber aired Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on CTV. Criminal Minds is currently also on CTV, airing new episodes on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
CBS also hasn’t picked-up any of its rookie shows from the 2015/16 season. Those include Life In Pieces (City), Code Black (CTV), Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (CTV), Supergirl (Global) and Limitless (Global).
Fox also announced some early renewals, bringing back Brooklyn Nine-Nine (City) and Last Man on Earth (City). It had previously announced that Gotham (CTV) will be coming back for a third season next fall.
