Scotiabank takes Best of Show at Sponsorship Marketing Awards

The retail bank also picked up three gold awards and one distinction honour.

Scotiabank cleaned up at Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada (SMCC) Conference and Awards yesterday in Toronto. The bank led the field, taking home three gold awards and one distinction honour, as well as Best of Show for its community hockey sponsorships.

The 2014 SMCC Conference and Awards was held at the Arcadian Court and featured keynote addresses from Duncan Fulton, SVP communications, Canadian Tire and CMO, Marks, FGL Sports, and Tim Leiweke, president and CEO, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

In addition to handing out the hardware, SMCC announced yesterday that it would be expanding with new chapters opening in Calgary and Vancouver this year, and additional new chapters to be announced later in the year.
