LVMH picks a new AOR for North American media biz

Havas has confirmed that it no longer holds the luxury account.

LVHavas has confirmed to MiC that it no longer holds the media buying account for luxury retailer LVMH’s North American operations.

The French luxury retailer and parent company for brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Tag Heur and others, has selected a new AOR following a four-month review process. According to reports by AdAge, Dentsu Aegis Network now holds the account. Dentsu would not comment to MiC on the matter.

The account had previously been held by Havas for nine years.

A spokesperson for the agency issued a statement that it had been “an honor and a huge point of pride for our organization” to work with LVMH.

“We’re focused now on our recent growth in the U.S. and Canada and LVMH remains an important Havas Group client around the world.”

Some of that recent growth for Havas includes winning business for DavidsTea, Wampole and another luxury giant, Holt Renfrew. The latest RECMA qualitative rankings showed Havas gain some ground on the overall activity report.
