CTV-Facebook partner for Election 2015
CTV News has rolled out exclusive Facebook content around political news running up to the October elections. In addition to articles and election-based insights, CTV will also rely on Facebook pundits to discuss campaign strategies running up to and during election night. Curating content specific for Facebook’s audience, the broadcaster will address questions relating to social media platforms as well, such as how candidates and parties are using Facebook, and who has the largest “fan base.”
Twitter to bring Idea City to online masses
This week’s Idea City, the Toronto-based conference of big, global minds, partnered with Twitter to bring key moments from its annual event to the social media site’s Snappy TV cloud-based live video platform . The three-day conference that is split up into 12 sessions, featured the likes of Conrad Black, Canadian paralympic, Rick Hansen, and tech journo, Peter Nowak.

Brian Gardner joins programmatic ad buying platform, RadiumOne as director of sales, Canada. The position, which focuses on the Canada market, is a new one signaling the company’s increase of business in Canada. He will be responsible for building strategic partnerships with agencies, trading desks and brand advertisers. Prior to joining RadiumOne, Gardner most recently worked as a senior account executive at RocketFuel.
Liane George has been named the new editor-in-chief of Rogers Media’s Chatelaine. She has 15 years of magazine experience, most recently working as editorial director at the magazine, and has also worked at publications including Maclean’s Magazine and The Grid.
Tom Grotta is the new chief revenue officer at YouTuber and brand connection company, Influicity. He was formerly VP at DoubleClick.
