The Gunn Report for Media, which ranks the most-awarded campaigns, agencies and advertisers at media competitions worldwide (including Cannes Media Lions, FIAP, IPA, the Clios and the Effies) has again named OMD the top creative media agency, with 206 points. Mindshare came in second with 161 points, and Starcom took third with 142 points.
GroupM (WPP) got top prize as the Holding Company of the Year, with 513 points. Omnicom Media Group came in second with 412 points and Publicis Groupe Media took third with 343 points.
The Advertiser of the Year for 2011, according to the Gunn Report for Media, was Coca-Cola, with 62 points thanks to wins from 14 competitions taken into account for the prize. Volkswagen came in second with 29 points and McDonald’s took third with 25 points.
The US took Country of the Year, with 196 points, Germany took second with 120 points and the UK got third with 120 points overall.
