Mastercard’s “Scorecards” campaign is giving cardholders the chance to win Toronto Raptors, Maple Leafs or Toronto FC game tickets based on their credit-card numbers.
Last Wednesday’s launch was the latest extension of the “T.O. the Devoted” platform, which recognizes the city’s sports fans for their devotion and communicates Mastercard’s Insider Benefits to customers. As part of the campaign, Mastercard cardholders can match any of the digits in the final Leafs, Raptors or Toronto FC score to any one of the last four digits on their Mastercard to enter to win game tickets for the current Leafs, Raptors and Toronto FC regular seasons.
Media AOR Carat tells Media in Canada the campaign is running in IG story reminders, with higher spend right after games until the end of the deadline to submit entries for that game. “In addition, for Toronto FC we have in-feed video post to drive awareness of contest mechanics along with the story reminders. Lastly, we have TheScore in-game in-app banners (to ensure the banners are served while members are checking live scores),” Carat says.

Winning tickets could be in the Mastercard Suite, Mastercard Lounge at Leafs games, or courtside or pitchside at a Raptors and Toronto FC games.
The campaign will run across social, digital, in-arena and OOH.
The “Scorecards” campaign was supported by McCann Canada.
